Gourds have always been carved and decorated here in Aotearoa New Zealand and have been used as water vessels and fishing floats. In the USA they have traditionally been used as bird feeders and ’nests’.
Our Gourds are harvested in Golden Bay and dried for a year before begin hollowed out to create perfect seed feeders.
Each gourd is given copper tendril detailing and finished with urethane.
